Jesus' Prophecy

In the Quran Chapter 61 Verse 6, Jesus said

When Jesus the son of Mary said O Children of Israel! Behold I am an Apostle of God unto you sent to confirm the truth of whatever still remains in the Torah and to give the glad tiding of an Apostle who shall come after me whose name shall be Ahmad (61:6)

In the original Bible written in Aramaic ( A Semitic language spoken in Palestine during the time of Jesus) Ahmad was written as Mauhamana both means Much Praised. The original Bible was translated into Greek. The Greek had the habit of translating every word from the original Bible including all the names. Mauhamana had been translated to Perikytos a Greek word which means Much Praised. Then the Greek Bible was translated into Latin Perikytos became Perikleet and the meaning changed from Much Praised to Comforter. The Christians believe Perikleet refers to a spirit and not to a human person. They also believe Jesus Prophecy regarding the arrival of Perikleet had already been fulfilled with the arrival of the spirit ten days after crucifixion. This was the spirit that later came to be known as The Holy Ghost which makes up a part of Trinity

Note: Ahmad and Muhammad are the same in Arabic
