Some of the Old Testament prophets, according to the Quran, prayed to God so that off springs would be born to them. One of them was Abraham (Ibrahim) who begot Issac (Ishak) through his first wife Sarah and Ishmael (Ismail) through his second wife Hagar (Hajar). Another prophet was
Zachariah (Zakaria) . He was having the same problem too. He prayed for an off spring and he was blessed with a son John the Baptist (Yahya). Imran too prayed for a righteous son who would one day take over the care of the temple but instead he was blessed with a daughter, Mary (Mariam) - the virgin who gave birth to Jesus (Isa)
The supplications (Doa) of all these prophets can be found in the Quran. If you are childless why not give this supplication a try. If you do not succeed ask yourself why did God answer the prayers of the prophets above. All I can say God is reciprocal . Go to Him and He will come to you. Sounds like Christianity?. But this saying has been with Islam for a long time.
