I am a Muslim and I am upset when Jesus a revered prophet of Islam being made "Son of God". I have a theory how this came to be about. In Greek mythology, there was a god who came down to earth and impregnated one of the local goddesses and from this union, Zues another god was born.
It bears striking parallel with the son ship of Jesus.
In the Bible, Jesus is not the only one designated "Son of God" There are several others. My second theory is that it could be the custom of the ancient people to call any god abiding person "Son of God"
Jesus was certainly such a person.
In Malaysia today, a kid who is good at football would be called "Son of Beckham- after that great footballer. I too consider myself "Son of God" in the sense that it was God, who created me through
the medium of my parents.
In the Quraan God, got raving mad about the claim that Jesus was His son
