I have just finished reading stuff about Jesus posted on the internet. Now I would like to say something how his name came to be about and how it changed from the time of his birth to the present. His given name at birth was Isa al Masih. The given name was Isa and al Masih was his designation in Aramic which means the annoited one in English.
The Greek changed Isa to Jesus. The sound /I/ was transformed to /Je/ with silent J and /sa/ to
/sus/ . al Masih has been translated to Christos.(the annoited one) The Roman changed Jesus Christos to
Jesus Christ.
So Jesus Christ is the Europeanized name of Isa al Masih
