We should know the problems Malaysia is facing and try to do something about it. First of all there are an awful lot of differences among folks in this country. I am listing down some of the major ones.
1.Ethnic differences - Malays, Chinese and Indians. No group is dominant unlike USA though it has a lot more ethnic differences, but Europeans are dominant there. So fewer problems in race relation
2.Malaysians speak different languages - Malay, Chine and Tamil. Though Malay is the national language, most Chinese feel more at home speaking English
3.Malaysian practice different religions - Islam, Buddhist Hindu and Christianity
4. Malaysians go to different schools. This problem requires immediate attention
5. Malaysia do different works for a living
6. Malaysians live in different areas. Generally the Malays in the rural areas and the Chinese in the Urban areas. There are Malays in the urban areas but they live in different enclaves
7. Some are very rich and some, very poor
8. Political parties are based on racial lines
Well, that is
Malaysia. The wonder of it all, is how we manage to stay away from fighting each other all this while
