A Muslim Looks at the Bible

The Bible contains many stories that are similar to the Quraan except for some minor details here and there. Adam and Eve, Exodus, Abraham and Noah are some of the common themes. However it is the concept of God that the Bible differs from the Quraan. God in the Bible is very chatty. Some of the prophets, like Moses used to have long face to face conversation with God as in the following example:
God:............Moses!
Moses:........Here I am
God:............What is that under your arm?
Moses:........My staff
God:............Throw it down on the ground
God can also make announcement from above as when he let it be known that "Israel is my son, my first born". He also walks like human. Adam reported he heard God's foot steps in the garden but was too afraid to look because of the sin he has commited

All these came as a surprise to Muslims because they do not even know what their God looks like. God is unlike any of those things He created. He is unimagineable but reachable to anyone who reaches out to Him
